I am very sorry that I have not been writing music but I have been very busy with many other things! I hope to someday write another song.

Rhymes With Lucia

I did a Song Fight entry for Rhymes With Lucia. It did not do very good in the voting but it got remixed on remixfight.org and so I am very happy about that especially since so many people liked playing with it so much!

Frustrating! >_<

The hard disk drive in the server that my webhost is on went pooie and the most recent backup was from July and I lost all of my new website design. I do not want to try to make it all over again. Grr. >.<

I am not liking how the site is set up anyway so I might just redo it all. It is too messy!

Well then!

I guess I will not be having any more songs by Monday anyway! Oh well.

I have already remastered the four ones I did get done and also There Is Safety In Numbers though and they will make a very good set of tracks for a real album anyway!

ALSO! Everybody should very much right away download and listen to The Cow Exchange's Album A Week! It is very good and very funny (and I think I am having a crush on Plat now!) and so yes definitely listen to it! NOW! And have a Bagelbagelbagelbagelbagelbagelbagelbagel day!

How it is at the official deadline time!

This is sort of an EP and it is called "Week Will" right now. I am now thinking of using these songs for a full-length album which will be called "Safety In Numbers" though and will include my Song Fight songs! (These are the same links as below but the mp3 files have been updated.)

  1. Don't Think (I do not like the mastering on this but Logic chewed up all my plugin settings and I did not know it and I only had a few minutes to get a final mixdown in)
  2. In The Desert (bonus challenge: the title!)
  3. Ninety-Four (bonus challenge: scat! but the mastering on this is poopy too u_u)
  4. Seventy-Two (I do not think this satisfied a bonus challenge unless you take a very liberal view of the "play instruments backwards" one because of how I recorded the vocals and then the instruments and I did all of that before even composing anything!)
Please let me know what you are thinking! ^_^;

Seventy-Two

I really hate doing this sort of thing but I made a 9:36 long extended mix track which I think is okay to listen to but it still feels like cheating to me! But I am happy with the way I made it in that I made up a song as I went and also I just sang it to a click track with no pitch assistance and I actually stayed in tune the whole way through! After that I added instruments behind it and I think I keep it interesting enough sounding through the whole song but I am not sure. But there is no pitch correction or anything on this song and so I am at least proud of that!

But anyway I am now up to 21:30 so if I can just make 14 more minutes tonight I will have won the challenge I think because I think that everyone who completes it is a winner and anyway I think my songs are really good especially since I did not start on them as early as everybody else.

I do not think I can make it in time!

I thought I had until Friday night but I had misread the rules! The album needs to be finished by Thursday night! u_u This is even though I did not know about the contest until it had already started. This makes me sad.

But! Just because I can't finish it by the Song Fight deadline does not mean that I shouldn't try to get an album done! It is in actuality that I did not start on working on the album until Monday because that was the earliest I could do so because I was very busy this weekend! And I am also not having a lot of leisure time after getting home from work and so I am very proud that I was able to do one song per day for the last three days! I think I will spend all of Saturday and Sunday to do it by my own schedule. Maybe I could even make it a real album release on CD or maybe even iTunes! ^_^

Ninety-Four

I like more than electronic musics! I also like bebop razmatazz jerky boy!

I think I hurt my voice doing this one! I will keep it to slow jams from now on. ^_^

So I am now at 11:50 so maybe it is possible that I might get 35 minutes in the next 47 hours after all. Maybe! But I also kind of hurt my hand doing that piano part. Oh no!

In The Desert

I am mostly done with the second song in my album! It is called In The Desert and it is about growing up! I think I might be rerecording the lyrics though because right now it is sounding like I had too much wine before I did it! ^_^;

I am getting to be worried about my amount of time though! Now I have finished only two songs with a total of 6:55 and I only have three days left to get it to 35 minutes! u_u I have been trying to do songs which are just loop painting but whenever I do I feel like it is not very much fun and it is very frustrating to try doing things like that although I did work a lot of that into this song to extend it a lot. Maybe I will work with a friend to do a long jam on Friday to fill out the rest of the time, though that definitely feels like cheating!
